Clean Water Action is seeking a highly motivated individual to manage our team of field organizers in Northampton. This is a full-time, salaried position with competitive benefits including paid training, paid time off, travel, 401k, health and dental, regular performance bonuses, and more.

Clean Water Action organizes strong grassroots groups and coalitions and campaigns to elect environmental candidates and solve environmental and community problems.

*As a Field Manager for Clean Water Action it is your job to :*

Train, develop, supervise and manage a team/crew of canvass staff to do high quality community outreach and organizing to meet organizational goals; work closely with the Canvass Director to identify and develop new staff leaders; carry out administrative, logistics, and financial management responsibilities as necessary to efficiently run crews to reach designated areas and/or individuals, and to ensure safe, accurate and responsible management and reporting concerning organizational personnel, assets/resources, and information; meet/exceed all canvassing and organizing standards and responsibilities, including as a role model and trainer for other canvass staff; understand, educate, and hold staff accountable to organizational policies and procedures.

*Specific Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:*
Meet all political and campaign-specific production standards including but not limited to weekly letter, ID and/or literature distribution standards. Provide analysis about canvass performance. Attend and participate in organizational and canvass events which include but are not limited to leadership and canvasser conferences. Work well in group and one-on-one situations, in the office, crews and in the field. Share and support the goals and policies of the organization. Facilitate communication between staff and the Canvass Director. Ensure high-quality contacts in the field: monitor and assess quality of message and member contact in the field; conduct high-quality, well-prepared rap practice, office training, briefings, and van trainings.

*Qualifications include the following:*
Minimum of one year experience canvassing with a nonprofit. A passion for protecting human health and the environment. A passion for expansion of clean energy. Good communication skills. Well organized. Able to work independently and in a team environment. Good writing skills a plus

Familiarity with face-to-face organizing in a variety of racial and socio-economic communities, and/or communications is highly desired. Applicants must able to travel to Clean Water Action’s Northampton office located at 160 Main Street Northampton MA 01060.
