Description:
The Marketing & Communications Event Assistant is responsible for assisting all Marketing and Communications Department staff in carrying out marketing events and campaigns supporting those events. This position’s main responsibility is providing support for our annual Leadership and Teacher Conferences—two professional development events with an attendance of around 400 educators at each.

PRIMARY DUITIES & RESPONSIBILITES INCLUDE:
• Help coordinate CRS annual Teachers and Leadership Conferences
• Assist in handling logistics (ordering supplies, organizing materials, booking rooms, etc.) for annual CRS hosted conferences (RCLC and RCTC) and other marketing events
• Work with staff to prepare materials for session presentations
• Enter information into our Salesforce database
• Serve as the point of contact for vendors
• Track expenses
• Conduct targeted outreach to potential customers
• Write and proofread ad copy
• Research marketing opportunities
• Ad hoc duties as assigned

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field or minimum of 2 years related work experience supporting events
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Highly organized with extraordinary attention to detail and strong work ethic
• The ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Interest in education and organization’s mission
• Regular and reliable attendance
• Work well in a highly collaborative environment
