Join our team of competent and caring professionals who do just that by becoming a Bilingual Early Intervention Specialist at Behavioral Health Network! As a Bilingual Early Intervention Specialist, you will be able to work with children under age 3 and their families in their own environments and develop customized service plans for each child and family. You will work within the natural routines of children and their families to create and implement customized interventions to facilitate development. Bilingual Early Intervention Specialists conduct developmental and social/emotional evaluations for the children and help families connect with helpful resources and providers within the community. As you help change and shape children’s lives, you will be able to earn a certification as an Early Intervention Specialist and learn from collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of professionals dedicated to helping children and families and have access to free trainings from the Department of Public Health.

The Early Intervention Program at Behavioral Health Network serves children between the ages of birth and three years of age for whom there are developmental concerns due to identified disabilities, or whose typical development is at risk due to certain birth or environmental factors. We provide a large variety of services including play based therapies, play groups, parent education and support, based on the needs of the child and family in their own homes, childcare centers, and communities. Behavioral Health Network is a growing non-profit community behavioral health agency that has been providing services to children, adults, families and communities in Western Massachusetts since 1938. Requirements:
Bilingual Early Intervention Specialists at BHN have the following qualities:
• One or more of the following education or experience levels:
o Minimum Bachelor’s Degree or concentration in Early Childhood Education, Education, Special Education, Women’s or Families Studies, Child Development or related field with concentration in these areas.
o Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology, Educational Psychology, Developmental or Counseling Psychology
o LCSW or LICSW
o Licensed Speech and Language Pathologist or License eligible in Clinical Fellowship
o Licensed Occupational Therapist
o Licensed Physical Therapist
o Registered Nurse
• At least 300 hours experience working with children under age 5
