Become familiar with reading blueprints, understanding product specifications. Use hand tools, small power tools, hand assembly tools, hand knife, motorized hoists, gantry, etc. •Assist in installation and removal of the spider, assemblies and in making adjustments as required. Load and unload molds with aid of gantry and mechanized hoists. •Assist in machine operations; set and monitor instrument controls, gages. Check product quality and make adjustments as required. Ensure that the proper type, color, and weight of materials are charged into molds. Take necessary precautions to prevent material contamination. May under direct supervision, operate machine for training purposes where minimum supervision is present. •Perform secondary operations including: removing flash, drilling holes and inserting hose for venting, hand stamping identifications, cleaning parting lines, assembling hardware on products, and other secondary operations as necessary. Perform leak testing. •Monitor quality of work during production and final quality check of work, on skid, before leaving department. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES •Maintain established quality and quantity standards. Follow prescribed safety precautions, established company and department policies, procedures, rules and regulations. Detect and report improper operations, faulty equipment, defective materials and questionable conditions to proper supervision. •Maintain work area(s) and equipment in a clean, orderly and safe condition. •Maintain daily production and other records as required. •Perform other related duties as required or directed.
