Test and check finished products, subassemblies, component parts where a variety of sizes, shapes, weights, and materials are inspected. •Inspection duties may involve one or several production and work area including receiving, quality control area, fabrication, high heat, roto cast, injection molding. •Inspections of products, parts are first piece, designated by procedure or randomly sampled. Check components, final products, for conformity to commercial and/or military purchaser specifications, drawings, tolerances, dimensions, hole locations, function ability, foreign materials, and other pertinent characteristics as instructed. •Calibrate testing devices. •Notify supervisor or others as appropriate of inspection failures and/or out of tolerances/specifications situations. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES •Maintain established quality and quantity standards. Follow prescribed safety precautions, established company and department policies, procedures, rules and regulations. Detect and report improper operations, faulty equipment, defective materials and questionable conditions to proper supervision. Maintain work area(s) and equipment in a clean, orderly and safe condition. •Maintain daily production and other records as required. •Perform other related duties as required or directed.
