Description: | General Summary:
Under the direction of the Aquatics Director, the Assistant Aquatics Director is responsible for oversight of lifeguards and swim instructors, especially during swim lessons and when the Aquatic Director is unavailable. The Assistant Director is responsible for administration of the swim lesson program, as well as other specialized aquatic programs. The Assistant Director is responsible for initiating continued improvement of aquatic programs through staff certification, training, and curriculum planning.

Requirements: | Qualifications:
• Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years supervisory management experience with aquatic programs and minimum of 2 years aquatic instruction/teaching.
• Must have YMCA Lifeguard and Swim Lesson Instructor or be willing to acquire within 6 months.
• Having swim team experience is preferred.
• Must have or will acquire the following YMCA certifications within six months of employment: Aquatic Management, Lifeguard Trainer, Swim Lessons Trainer, Pool Operator on Location
• Candidate must have strong desire to teach and train staff.
• Must be able to work variable hours including nights and weekends. |
