Position Description
The Group Programs Assistant will work closely with our University Relations & Customized Group Programs Coordinator, based in our Northampton, MA office. The role will focus on two central areas: helping to develop and implement faculty-led programs and assisting in university outreach. This position requires an ambitious, organized individual who is willing to express their ideas with the goal of growing Kaya’s programs. The successful candidate must be passionate about international travel/education and willing to adjust to constantly shifting priorities. Though this position will begin as part-time, it may have growth potential.

Specific Duties:
o Assist Program Coordinator with logistical planning and responding to RFPs (requests for proposals) as required
o Liaise with Kaya in-country program providers to help deliver proposals
o Provide pre-departure materials and assistance for approved programs
o Assist with marketing communications aimed at academic institutions (newsletters, social media posts, etc.)
o Assist with managing administrative paperwork related to the development and delivering of group proposals
o Assist Program Coordinator in responding to questions, requests and needs of university contacts and partners
o May be asked to attend some study abroad fairs or university visits on behalf of Kaya
o Help Program Coordinator identify academic departments or new universities interested in faculty-led programs
o Provide excellent customer service and support to approved programs, students and faculty
o Promote service-learning along with ethical and sustainable programming



Required Qualifications and Skills
o International travel for work, pleasure, or study
o Some college
o Strong communication and interpersonal skills
o Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
o Strong organizational skills
o Ability to work with a team and independently

Preferred Qualifications and Skills
o Experience with Google Suite & Mac Suite
o Experience with Study Abroad or Faculty-Led Programming
o Public speaking/presenting
o Experience participating in a service-learning/volunteer program abroad
o US driver’s license
