Description:
Take your supervisory role to new heights as a leader within our well-established child and adolescent program!

Become an integral member of our team of compassionate and competent professionals as the Assistant Program Director of the Child Guidance Center Outpatient program at Behavioral Health Network! Assistant Program Directors are seen as leaders and mentors within their programs and within BHN. They provide effective, positive leadership to a multidisciplinary team with varying levels of education and experience, supervise and evaluate their performance, and enact appropriate progressive discipline when needed. The Assistant Program Director oversees many stages of the hiring process, working alongside Senior Program Managers as they identify staffing needs, recruit, screen, and hire new employees. They continue to develop their new staff by ensuring they are trained in BHN policies and procedures and complete forms regarding staff as they are needed.

Assistant Program Directors manage the workings of the CGC Outpatient program and its employees. They serve as a point person for client and staff complaints, mediates their concerns, and conducts investigations when needed. Following agency guidelines, they review and redact medical records requests, as well as review and answer questions related to employees timecards to ensure that hours are correctly tracked. Finally, the Assistant Program Director communicates with supervisors within the CGC program and facilitates the supervisor meeting.
Assistant Program Directors have the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of running the day-to-day operations of an outpatient behavioral health clinic. This includes things such as mediation of client and staff concerns; how to respond to requests for medical records and subpoenas; supervising and interacting with a multi-disciplinary team; creating and overseeing contracts with community partners; some aspects of budgeting and finances for the clinic; and how to recruit, hire, and train new clinical staff.

The Child Guidance Clinic Outpatient program at BHN provides comprehensive mental health, educational, developmental, behavioral, and consultative services to children, adolescents, and their families in Springfield, MA and the surrounding communities. Our multidisciplinary staff offer a variety of culturally competent programs in our clinic, at numerous community sites, and in homes. Behavioral Health Network is a growing non-profit community behavioral health agency that has been providing services to children, adults, families and communities in Western Massachusetts since 1938.
