Salary Range: Location: 10 Per Hour HOLYOKE MA Job Type: Category: Part Time Human Services Education Level: Work Experience: High School or Equivalent Preference: Nice to have Up to One Year Preference: Required Skills/Certifications/Licences: Description: Part-time Community Bridger. 5 hours per week plus additional hours as needed. The primary focus of this very part-time role will be to co-facilitate groups in local psychiatric units with our community bridging team. However, other responsibilities may include advocating, and supporting people to transition from hospital back to community. May also include taking people out on day passes, or working with them in the community after they’ve been released. Requirements: Required: First-hand experience with psychiatric diagnosis, trauma, extreme states, and/or other life-interrupting challenges (this means YOU yourself have been diagnosed, been hospitalized on a psychiatric unit, been homeless, and/or struggled with problems with alcohol/substances, etc.); Commitment to undoing racism, sexism, and other systemic oppression; A car you are able to use for work; Willingness and ability to be available for more hours on occasion to complete required core trainings (travel to the Holyoke area for trainings may also be required) A Plus: Knowledge of local resources; Knowledge of peer support and related movements; Intentional Peer Support, Hearing Voices, Alternatives to Suicide training, and other related trainings. Prior experience being hospitalized on a psychiatric unit is strongly preferred. $14 to 15.50 per hour depending on training and bilingual abilities.
