Position provides detailed and timely information to help achieve company goals and initiatives Duties and Responsibilities For all areas relative to EDM manufacturing on assigned jobs Tasks include but are not limited to Computer Numerical Control EDM machining, traditional machining techniques and hand operations Utilize computer software for geometry examination, review, programing for manufacture Manufacture components using EDM processes per requirements Measure and verify finished components meet specified dimensional requirements Verify finished components meet surface finish specifications and/or special requirements Maximize unattended machining time Maintain quality standards of company Attend design reviews as required Maintain communication with other departments to insure smooth workflow Work toward meeting or improving delivery dates Maintain flexibility in working within other areas of toolshop as requested Ensure all department documentation is completed Maintain machine and other company equipment in good working order Ensure all proper manufacturing procedures are followed Maintain a clean & safe work area Work scheduled hours, including Overtime initiatives, as requested Help to maintain positive attitude within the department Other duties as assigned Skills / Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required and/or certification from associated trade school 3-5 years’ experience in injection mold building with a concentration in CNC EDM Programming - Manufacturing Ability to work to very tight tolerances (.0002”) Measure with tool makers instruments Basic computer skills required Ability to read, write and verbally communicate clearly Strong ability to read and understand 3-D files and hard copy prints Requirements: Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must have good vision Must have manual dexterity Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time Repetitive motions are required Requires frequent bending, squatting, and twisting motions Must be able to climb stepladders Must be able to climb up and down stairs Other Special Requirements Must be available for overtime as needed Environment: Noise level is uncontrolled (Ear plugs are provided.)
