Do you have an interest in forensic psychology and do you want to help vulnerable juveniles and their families?

If so, join the team of forensic professionals at Behavioral Health Network’s Juvenile Court Clinic Program! You will provide court-ordered evaluations in Care and Protection, Child Requiring Assistance (CRA), Delinquency, Youthful Offender cases. You will also conduct evaluations for emergency and civil commitment proceedings to determine if individuals require psychiatric hospitalization or substance abuse commitment. You will also have the opportunity to testify in legal proceedings. If you don’t yet have forensic experience, you will be provided the supervision and training necessary to help you become a Certified Juvenile Court Clinician. Once you are certified you will take on more challenging cases and enjoy the independence in managing your own caseload. You will also have the ability to consult with court personal and engage in many other exciting initiatives within the juvenile justice system throughout all of Western Massachusetts’ four counties: Berkshire, Hampden, Hampshire, and Franklin.

BHN’s Juvenile Court Clinic program consists of a multi-disciplinary professional team. They are approachable, collaborative, cohesive, down to earth, knowledgeable, and supportive colleagues. All of the team members are highly motivated, independent, and demonstrate exceptional organizational and clinical skills. Services are provided for youth involved in both the Court and child welfare systems. The Juvenile Court Clinic facilitates a multi-disciplinary meeting with families, the Department of Children and Families, Department of Youth Services, and court personnel to promote the development of enhanced cross-system practices that enable achievement of improved youth and family outcomes. The program has obtained the trust and respect from the Courts in which they served. The staff is known for being responsive to the needs of partner agencies and allies in the legal system. Requirements:
Forensic Psychologists at Behavioral Health Network have the following qualities:
• Doctorate in Psychology, licensed as a Psychologist and Health Service Provider in Massachusetts or license eligible (license obtained within 9 months of hire).
• Meets eligibility for Certified Juvenile Court Clinician I and II.
• Minimum of one year experience working with children and families (required).
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
• Genuine desire to be a team player.
• Commitment to being part of a program that is highly respected.
