Join our team of competent and caring professionals as a Community Support Worker at Behavioral Health Network’s Community Based Flexible Support (CBFS) program! We are dedicated to supporting and encouraging the pursuit of the development of individuals’ autonomy, self-esteem, and involvement in their own care. Community Support Workers live this dedication by engaging individuals in their day-to-day communities on individual, group, after-hour, and weekend bases. They also use strength-based strategies and implement treatment plans involving a full-range of rehabilitative and support services. Working with the individuals to identify activities of their choice, Community Support Workers help them reach their full potential by providing targeted outreach to guide enhanced social connection. Community Support Workers embrace the values of recovery and resiliency as they carry out their jobs supporting our clients on their individual paths towards recovery.

At the CBFS (Community Based Flexible Services) program at Behavioral Health Network, we aim to help adults living with a severe and persistent mental health diagnosis live independently and flourish in their community. CBFS is a voluntary community outreach program funded by the Department of Mental Health. Behavioral Health Network is a growing non-profit community behavioral health agency that has been providing services to children, adults, families and communities in Western Massachusetts since 1938. BHN provides comprehensive, outcome-driven behavioral health care. We are dedicated to offering high quality, affordable and culturally appropriate care to people of all ages and income levels in our constituent communities.
Requirements:
Community Support Workers at Behavioral Health Network’s CBFS program have the following qualities:
• Have a Bachelor’s Degree in a mental health related field or two years experience working directly with adults with a serious mental illness.
• Have a reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
• Participate in required orientation and ongoing training programs.
• Maintain valid CPR and First Aid certificates.
