Description:
Use your knowledge of mental health to help those in need in your local community!
Become a part of our team of competent and compassionate professionals as a Mobile Respite Counselor in the Westfield Adult Respite program at Behavioral Health Network! As a Mobile Support Specialist, you will relate to and establish rapport with individuals, their families and service providers. You will perform person-oriented services in order to meet the goals of adults in mental health recovery. Mobile Respite Counselors plan and implement treatment interventions and referrals. They have the opportunity to grow as human service workers through learning experiences such as completing mental status exams and making referrals. Mobile workers receive training and grow professionally through clinical supervision.
The BHN Respite Program is funded by the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health. We serve adult individuals in need of short term support, while pursuing long term mental health recovery goals. A Mobile outreach worker’s caseload is small, in order to provide intensive one-to-one services. Services provided are meant to build skills and establish longer term community support. The goal of the program is to maximize an independent, stable and healthy lifestyle, for those served. Behavioral Health Network is a growing non-profit community behavioral health agency that has been providing services to children, adults, families and communities in Western Massachusetts since 1938. BHN provides comprehensive, outcome-driven behavioral health care. We are dedicated to offering high quality, affordable and culturally appropriate care to people of all ages and income levels in our constituent communities.
