Become a part of our team of competent and compassionate professionals as a Recovery Coach in the Peer Support Services program at Behavioral Health Network! Recovery Coaches work with adults with substance use disorders in the Springfield, MA area and are passionate about helping others and having a positive impact on others. BHN strives to empower those we serve to be in the ‘driver seat’ of their lives, and to clearly define their needs, wants, hopes and dreams, and the Recovery Coach assists in making that happen! If hired as the Recovery Coach, BHN will send you to a 40 hour Recovery Coach Academy training.
In the Peer Support Services program, Recovery Coaches connect directly with individuals within the community to inspire hope and increase peoples’ chances for success in their own recovery. We help the individuals we serve find their own unique paths to recovery and the achieving of personal goals and dreams. Behavioral Health Network is a growing non-profit community behavioral health agency that has been providing services to children, adults, families and communities in Western Massachusetts since 1938. BHN provides comprehensive, outcome-driven behavioral health care. We are dedicated to offering high quality, affordable and culturally appropriate care to people of all ages and income levels in our constituent communities.
Requirements:
Recovery Coaches at Behavioral Health Network have the following qualities:
• Bilingual in Spanish and English (strongly preferred).
• Prior completion of the Recovery Coach Academy (strongly preferred).
• 2 years experience working with individuals in recovery from substance use disorders (strongly preferred).
• Familiarity with substance use recovery support services.
• Professional demeanor in communicating with members and care team members.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Enrollment in or completion of a CADAC program (preferred).
