Description:
We're looking for a self-starter with a mastery of QuickBooks and Excel and the desire to be part of an upbeat, fast-paced and successful nonprofit organization with a national reach. The finance manager is a member of a small and highly collaborative team and is responsible for performing the daily functions of accounting. This position also assists with annual budget preparation and oversees coordination of work from our outside accounting firm for the annual audit and tax return preparation. Finally, the finance manager also oversees the administration of employee benefits. This position helps to ensure our longstanding reputation as a well run organization.

Our team is an intentional mix of seasoned organizers, campaigners, policy wonks, digital-communications experts, and rock-solid administrative and fundraising staff. We're not a startup, but we've got startup energy: We're nimble, constantly learning and changing, and know when it's time to double down for the win and then celebrate our victories.

Work location is negotiable. We have offices in Florence, Mass. and Washington D.C. and are open to considering remote work in other geographic locations.

We're committed to recruiting and retaining creative, ethical, smart and innovative people with a sense of humor. Accordingly, we offer competitive salaries and excellent benefits, including medical, vision and dental insurance; retirement benefits; health reimbursement, dependent care and commuter-expense accounts; and up-to-date IT systems that allow for flexible work locations. Oh, and we have this crazy idea that employees do better work if they have time to enjoy life with friends and families, so we offer a total of nine weeks of paid time off each year.

Free Press Is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We value excellence and diversity in our workforce. People of color, women, people with disabilities, lesbian, gay, bisexual, queer, transgender and gender-nonconforming individuals are strongly encouraged to apply.

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis. The ideal candidate will be available to begin work on or about March 5, 2018.
