Salary Range: Location: 10 Per Hour NORTHAMPTON MA Job Type: Category: Part Time Maintenance Education Level: Work Experience: High School or Equivalent Preference: Required 2+ Preference: Required Skills/Certifications/Licences: Description: Cutchins Programs for Children & Families has an opening for a Part Time Maintenance Assistant, working Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri, 7am-12pm & Fri, 6:30am-12pm, to work in on our Northampton campus residential program and outpatient clinic. The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for performing routine general interior/exterior building and property maintenance, using various machines, tools and equipment. The employee will receive work orders and verbal instructions from their supervisor and confer with them on repair and maintenance matters requiring outside contractors or matters requiring major work. Interior repair responsibilities could be any combination of painting, flooring, carpentry, locks, drywall, electrical, heating, plumbing and general troubleshooting. Exterior repair responsibilities could be any combination of snow/ice removal, grounds maintenance, landscaping projects, signage installation, concrete, siding, roofing maintenance and other preventative work. Janitorial tasks at the facility include cleaning restrooms, emptying trash, washing windows, vacuuming, floor maintenance, etc. Position is on-call for snow removal. Requirements: Successful candidates will be positive, enthusiastic, patient, flexible, and creative. Must possess building or repair experience, be adept with power tools & outdoor power equipment, able to climb stairs and lift 50lbs. Candidates should be self-motivated, reliable with a good work ethic. 1-2 yrs. maintenance experience required, in a residential setting preferred.
