Position: Temporary Part-Time Conference Coordinator

Flexible Schedule: May-December, 2018 = 10hrs/week; January 2nd-16th, 2019 = 30-40hrs/week

JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position is responsible for coordinating the planning of the Global Educators 5 day annual leadership conference in and around Northampton, MA in January, 2019. The Conference Coordinator will report to the Chief Commercial Officer.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:
o Coordinate all logistical components of the conference, including but not limited to: housing, conference space, meals, transportation, and materials
o Liase with the the GE Board of Directors to regularly update progress/discuss available options
o Keep a basic budget of conference expenses
o Coordinate conference information and prepare content for conference web site (just the content, not the tech portion)
o Manage limited pre-conference communications with conference attendees
o Solicit and organize post-conference feedback using company survey system or similar

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
o Event planning experience
o Excellent communications skills
o Possess strong attention to detail and high-level organization skills
o Flexible, positive and outgoing disposition

SALARY and BENEFITS
o $15.00/hour
o Part-time, flexible schedule;
--May - December, 2018 @10 hours/week
--January 2 - 16, 2019 @30-40 hours/week
o One hour of paid sick time earned for every 30 hours worked
o Option to work from home, or work in our Northampton Office
