Description: | We are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to manage maintenance in our residential portfolio. You will be responsible for hiring and training staff and ensuring the smooth running of upkeep and repair operations.
This is also a hands on position and will require the ability to make repairs and/ or troubleshoot all aspects of the properties. All units are located in Amherst. Must have technical skills and knowledge of various crafts such as carpentry, plumbing, heating systems, electrical, etc. Leadership and knowledge of administrative tasks such as scheduling are also essential.
The goal is to ensure that the properties are in a good and safe condition at all times.

Requirements: | Working knowledge of and skill in applying knowledge in plumbing, electricity, heating, carpentry, painting and mechanical equipment with five years' experience performing same.
Applicant must have knowledge of tools and methods to be used in a wide range of building maintenance work and of occupational hazards and safety measures.
Ability to direct and schedule the work of others such as laborers, groundskeepers, aides along with maintaining acceptable working relationships with co¬workers and to get along with a variety of people (tenants who are elderly, handicapped, families, minorities). Requirement to work in hazardous and adverse conditions, such as: sleet, snow, heat, cold, dust and dirt, as well as cramped quarters and high places and to lift heavy objects.
Valid Massachusetts driver’s license. Education to include at least a high school diploma or equivalency; relevant training beyond high school a plus.
