Description:
EcoBuilding Bargains is the largest used building materials store in New England. Our mission is to keep thousands of tons of trash out of landfills by making salvaged building materials, furnishings and appliances available to people looking for quality bargains. We now need a dedicated, hard-working, and enthusiastic Retail Shift Supervisor to join our team.

The Retail Shift Supervisor leads in customer service, providing information about the store's mission and policies. The Supervisor acts as backup to management for overseeing the staff when management is not on site. The Supervisor helps staff achieve sales targets and provides coaching and guidance in routine and non-routine situations.

The Supervisor is responsible for growing sales, with a focus on cabinets and appliances, and assists customer with their kitchen design projects. The supervisor handles customer questions, complaints, and issues and helps them to identify solutions for their building needs. The Supervisor handles the cash register, works on merchandising store displays, and follows up on documentation to ensure all reporting requirements are met.
Requirements:
To work at EcoBuilding Bargains, you must be excited about working around used and surplus materials including cabinets, architectural salvage, building materials, doors, windows, appliances, plumbing supplies, lighting fixtures, and furniture. We are looking for supervisory experience, retail preferred, or in customer service. You should have knowledge of value and use of home improvement materials with experience in kitchen design, cabinets and appliances strongly preferred. You should be hard working, motivated, and reliable and have excellent communication skills. High School diploma/GED desirable. Bilingual English/Spanish is very helpful. You must be able to lift 25-50 pounds regularly and move freely (including twisting, bending, kneeling, squatting, etc.) to perform job duties.
