Description:
Help BHN oversee and educate families and staff caring for those with developmental disabilities!

Become a part of our team of competent and compassionate professionals as a Registered Nurse in the Residential Support Services program at Behavioral Health Network! Registered Nurses provide support to individuals served, coordinating as a liaison between regional medical facilities and Program Directors. RNs provide ongoing in-service training and consultation as a resource to staff and families on medical care and health issues relating to developmental disabilities. Registered Nurses participate in clinical assessments by preparing nursing assessments and progress notes as well as making recommendations for individuals’ plans when needed.

Additionally, RNs ensure individuals are receiving the care they need from health care providers by convening regular health care management meetings and ensuring compliance with the Medication Administration Program (MAP). Registered Nurses provide regular supervision to staff, addressing disciplinary issues and writing annual performance evaluations. RNs also monitor the completion of staff training, write the health history and self-care sections of evaluation reports as needed, and may accompany individuals to appointments.

In the Residential Support Services program at BHN, we provide 24-hour staffed residential services, community day support, individual and family support services, a social club, and an advocacy program. BHN values the individuals we serve in shared living and small group homes. Each person we serve is part of a team that includes family, BHN staff, and other providers who work together to assess the individual’s needs and goals and then create and maintain a plan reflecting strengths, capabilities and desires.

Behavioral Health Network is a growing non-profit community behavioral health agency that has been providing services to children, adults, families and communities in Western Massachusetts since 1938. BHN provides comprehensive, outcome-driven behavioral health care. We are dedicated to offering high quality, affordable and culturally appropriate care to people of all ages and income levels in our constituent communities.
