RepresentUs is seeking qualified candidates for a Graphic Design Internship in our Northampton, MA office. The Graphic Design Intern will play a direct role in the day-to-day work of the creative team for our national campaign by crafting compelling, on-brand visuals for the web, social media, and print. The ideal candidate will be creative, hard working, enthusiastic, detail-oriented, resourceful, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. We welcome interns eager to learn real world skills in a professional setting while fighting against corruption. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES This internship will teach you to apply a variety of skills in a fast-paced setting. Don’t have experience with everything on this list? Don’t panic — We’ll teach you! This position will entail: * Designing graphics for social media, websites, and other needs. * Processing and color correcting images for their correct end use. * Distilling complex ideas into simple concepts; short copywriting. * Creating work consistent with established brand and style guides. * Working independently on tasks, but also collaborating and responding to criticism with a small team. * Research into news stories and/or elections data for our weekly content pipeline. Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator, is required. Skill with layout and typography, social media, basic HTML/CSS, video editing (Premiere or After Effects), and copywriting are preferred.
