JobsInTheValley.com has been designed to provide an easy and effective medium for job seekers and employers in the Pioneer Valley of Western Massachusetts and beyond to connect and find each other for employment and employment-related purposes. As with most other employment-related services, there are no sureties of employment or guarantees of success for either party, but to ensure that we at JobsInTheValley.com do not misrepresent our service, abilities or intentions, following are our Terms of Use.
Any use of the JobsInTheValley.com website or related services indicates your acceptance to be bound by these terms. As such, please read them carefully. While our primary goal is to connect the largest number of employers with the greatest number of job seekers possible, if you do not or cannot agree to and accept the terms of use that follow, please do not use this site or service.
Note that we may change the Terms of Use at any time by posting the amended terms here. Continued use of the site or any related services indicates your acceptance of any amended terms. We last revised these Terms of Use on August 15, 2009.
Description of Services
JobsInTheValley.com is a venue established for employers, recruiters and staffing agencies to advertise available employment opportunities at or with their companies (or with companies they have permission to represent), and for job seekers to find and apply to these opportunities. The venue also provides a service whereby organizations seeking volunteers can list these latter types of opportunities, and individuals seeking such opportunities can find them.
JobsInTheValley.com is strictly an "as is" informational service, and therefore does not guarantee employment for job seekers or filled positions for advertisers. JobsInTheValley.com shall not be responsible for any employment decisions, for whatever reason made, by any entity posting or applying for listed opportunities.
Postings/Submissions
JobsInTheValley.com makes a concerted effort to ensure that all of its posted listings are real and truthful. However, we have no control over the quality, safety or legality of the opportunities listed and services offered on the site; the truth, accuracy or completeness of the listings; the ability of employers to hire candidates; the ability of candidates to fill positions; or the ability of advertisers to adequately provide quality products or services. As a result, JobsInTheValley.com assumes no liability for any inaccuracies, omissions, or misrepresentations whatsoever involved in using this site or service. Users and advertisers assume full responsibility for using this information and understand and agree that JobsInTheValley.com is not responsible for any claim, loss or damage, including but not limited to lost wages, revenues or profits, resulting from its direct or indirect use.
Similarly, JobsInTheValley.com makes every effort to ensure that advertisements are posted and published correctly. JobsInTheValley.com assumes no liability, financial or otherwise, for typographical and/or composition errors, nor shall advertisers be held responsible for misprints. In addition, JobsInTheValley.com assumes no financial responsibility for failure to publish any advertisements.
Finally, JobsInTheValley.com reserves the right to exercise discretion in the selection, editing and duration of advertisements; limit ad size; abbreviate, format and condense text as necessary; and/or not publish any ad or content that is deemed to be offensive, inappropriate, illegal or suspected of containing false or misleading information. We also reserve the right to refuse advertisements altogether for any reason.
Site content
No portion or content of the JobsInTheValley.com website may be modified, copied, reproduced, sold, leased, distributed, transmitted or used for any commercial purpose without express written permission from JobsInTheValley.com, including incorporation into a database of any kind or copying of postings to other boards or websites. Users may print material directly from the website, of course, but only for their personal, noncommercial use.
In addition, no party is permitted to use our services or site content for anything other than their intended uses. Non-permitted uses shall include, but not be limited to, contacting employment advertisers for any reason other than to apply for a job or volunteer opportunity. Advertisers should understand that once posted, information contained in listings is available to everyone with access to the Internet.
Integrity of Services and Website
While we make every effort to ensure safe, reliable and continuous services and access to the JobsInTheValley.com website itself, JobsInTheValley.com is run on an "as available" basis and makes no warranty that access to the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that the servers that make the website available will be free of viruses or other harmful components. In addition, while we work diligently to scan submitted job applications for viruses or other harmful components, we can offer no surety or warranty that they will be clear of such elements. Consequently, JobsInTheValley.com assumes no responsibility, and shall not be liable for, any damages to users' computer equipment, software or other property on account of their accessing or otherwise using any materials, data, text or images from, or received through, this site.
