Description:
This 21stCCLC grant funded, Easthampton Elementary AFTER SCHOOL Program (EEASP) is celebrating 9 years of project-based learning at Maple School. The EEASP is founded on the principle that children, no matter what type of learner, deserve to be taught exciting, challenging, meaningful subjects fueled by academic integrity. Our multi-arts, STEM, active movement, and community partner curriculum, can be either imagined and created by staff, or provided by the Program Coordinator. Academic threads of Math, ELA, Science, and History can be adapted to fit each curriculum, wherever appropriate.

The EEASP is staffed by healthy, energized adults, who LOVE 1st-4th graders, and excel in the teaching of stimulating, kid-friendly classes. If you've had experience teaching children, please respond by writing a cover letter, describing your experience in one or more particular genres, your educational background, educational philosophy, and if you can commit 100% to our 32 week grant cycle, beginning September 17, 2018 - May 17, 2019. This commitment is imperative to the integrity of our acclaimed program, as we go about building a solid community for our students, and a cooperative school environment. The EEASP is managed by the Collaborative for Educational Services (CES) in Northampton, and receives 21stCCLC grant funding via Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). We are not an After School daycare.

Our program runs 2:30-5:30, Monday-Friday, and follows the Easthampton School District calendar. Currently, we are seeking to fill 3 hour positions, on varying days and subject.
We'd like to hear from you!
