PM establishes and oversees production needs, including: -coordinating production requirements with venues and staff -overseeing instrument haulage -collaborating with volunteer stage managers -running box office -overseeing volunteer ushers -supporting volunteer concessions coordinators -managing event logistics of public pre- and post- concert functions. The PM works very independently, and in close and active communication with staff and volunteers of the Pioneer Valley Symphony. Position has VERY FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE, perfect for a student of events/arts management, or person with other full-time employment. Responsibilities occur primarily in the 2-3 weeks prior to each concert. Some evening and weekend work required. Requirements: Your own transportation. Experience managing events, orchestra, theater, etc. Ability to work very independently and communicate clearly. Passion for the arts and for our shared community!
