Join our team of competent and compassionate professionals as a Support Specialist in the Residential program at Behavioral Health Network in Westfield, MA! Support Specialists provide direct services to individuals in group homes that support the growth, independence, and safety of individuals in all settings. They monitor their overall health and well-being by assisting and monitoring daily living and encouraging independence, competency and decision-making. Support Specialists initiate, support and ensure quality of life through empowerment, safety awareness, respect and dignity. The Support Specialists will assist with all aspects of medication treatment, and provide related activities to document and support the services provided to individuals. The Support Specialist will provide crisis intervention and emergencies. Support Specialists plan and provide opportunities for community activities and maintain, enhance and foster social support networks and relationships.

In the Residential Support Services program at BHN, we provide 24-hour staffed residential services, community day support, individual and family support services, a social club, and an advocacy program. BHN values the individuals we serve in shared living and small group homes. Each person we serve is part of a team that includes family, BHN staff, and other providers who work together to assess the individual’s needs and goals and then create and maintain a plan reflecting strengths, capabilities and desires.
Requirements:
The Residential Support Specialists need to have the following qualification:
• Individuals must be committed to empowerment and growth, human rights, and community integration of Individuals/persons served.
• Minimum of six months experience in human services preferred.
• Training is provided by BHN.
• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Must have valid driver's license and a reliable car available for working hours.
