Description:
The Collaborative for Educational Services (CES) is excited to offer a career opportunity to a motivated and talented Human Resources professional. We are looking for an exceptional and collaborative leader for the position of Director of Human Resources who will report to the Executive Director and serve on the CES Cabinet. The HR Director will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and management on all aspects of the human resources function across the agency. The HR Director will continue to develop and implement process improvements which support positive change as part of an organizational effort to create a more diverse and engaged workforce. Additionally, this individual coordinates, monitors, and evaluates all HR functions which includes supervising four talented HR team members.

CES employs approximately 800 individuals across the state and this is the individual who ensures that their professional needs are addressed in ways which align with the agency’s strategic priorities, social justice and equity initiative, and its organizational values.

This high profile position requires strong communication skills, the ability to influence and to develop proactive measures to mitigate and/or address complex human resource challenges. It is critical that this individual is skilled at creating and sustaining productive partnerships with internal, as well as external stakeholders. The HR Director will champion the organization’s efforts to create a respectful, inclusive, and welcoming work environment, thus she/he/they must lead by example through a presence that engenders trust, confidence and respect. We are most interested in individuals skilled at supporting and engaging remote employees. Our ideal candidate will have experience working in education, union environments, and/or municipalities.
