Become a part of our team of competent and compassionate professionals as a Counselor-Case Manager in the Carlson Recovery Center at Behavioral Health Network! Counselor-Case Managers perform thorough assessments and create treatment plans for individuals. Through maintaining therapeutic and collaborative relationships with members of the healthcare team, they provide individual and group counseling sessions and adapt treatment approaches to meet the needs of individuals served. Counselor-Case Managers document their plans of care and are accountable for their professional practice, growth, and development.

The Carlson Recovery Center is a 32 bed Acute Treatment Services program that serves those 18 years of age and older who are suffering from drug and alcohol addiction within the first 5-7 days of their recovery. Behavioral Health Network is a growing non-profit community behavioral health agency that has been providing services to children, adults, families and communities in Western Massachusetts since 1938. BHN provides comprehensive, outcome-driven behavioral health care. Requirements:
Counselor-Case Managers at Behavioral Health Network have the following qualities:
•Bachelor’s Degree in related field (required);
•CAC/CADAC or LADC (preferred).
•Two years of experience in substance abuse or behavioral health counseling (preferred).
•Experienced in providing case management and/or counseling services as part of a clinical team to patients in a treatment setting (preferred).
•Able to understand, empathize and work with an addicted, dually diagnosed and/or methadone maintained population.
•Able to approach individuals served in a sensitive and therapeutic manner to understand and work with patients’ problems.
•Skilled in assessing the range of addiction, dual diagnosis and methadone issues, recognizing special needs and adjusting treatment approaches accordingly.
•Flexible to cover shifts and meet the needs of the unit, as needed.
