Join our team of competent and compassionate professionals as a Medical Assistant in the Center for Adults & Families program at Behavioral Health Network! As a Medical Assistant, you will provide services to children and adolescents with an array of BHN services and support psychiatrists and APRNs. These services include measuring vital signs and providing an assessment of individuals prior to their medical appointments. Medical Assistants evaluate and respond to changes in the individuals’ condition and report the findings. Additionally, Medical Assistants schedule individuals’ appointments with prescribers and ensure that these schedules are filled.

Utilizing electronic prescription methods, Medical Assistants take medication orders from the psychiatrists or APRNs and distribute and administer the individuals’ medication, as needed. In addition, Medical Assistants provide education about medication or health services to individuals, if needed. Additional responsibilities include disposing of biohazard waste in accordance with OSHA standards, maintaining supplies, managing phone calls for the clinic, and performing other tasks to aid the function of the clinic.

Requirements:
Medical Assistants at Behavioral Health Network have the following qualities:
•Well-organized with good interpersonal skills.
•Familiarity with Internet, word processing and email systems.
•Medical Assistant Certificate or Degree (required).
