Description: | The Center for EcoTechnology is opening a new kitchen showroom at EcoBuilding Bargains in Springfield, MA, our non-profit reclaimed building materials store in Springfield. We are looking for an experienced kitchen designer with a creative flair who loves to sell and can design our reclaimed cabinets into our customers’ new or remodeled kitchens. This individual will have the exciting opportunity to develop and grow this new service from the start and help our customers create beautiful, affordable kitchens while also helping the environment. This position will also include sales of millwork, lighting and unique and interesting items to help customers add upcycled style and functionality to their homes at an affordable price.
Job responsibilities:
Educate customers about the Center for EcoTechnology’s mission
Identify customers’ building and renovation needs and provide an overview of current inventory with its upcycling and reuse potential
Assist customers with identifying solutions, providing expertise in kitchen design, millwork and lighting
Provide customers with professional kitchen design documents using 2020 Design software
Generate leads and drive sales
Perform onsite kitchen measures
Present at home shows and other industry events
Assist in plans for marketing efforts
Apply experience in merchandising to the store’s visual merchandising efforts. Optimize the displays of cabinets, windows, doors and other millwork.
Photograph and develop creative descriptions of incoming inventory for online listings
Maintain active and ongoing communication with the store operations and management teams. Provide consistent updates in regards to status of sales, service issues or customer concerns.

Requirements: | What You Offer
You bring experience to this position:
Commitment to the community non-profit mission of EcoBuilding Bargains and CET
Minimum of 2 years’ successful kitchen design and sales experience
Proficiency with 2020 Design software
Proficiency with SalesForce or other CRM software
Experience with or interest in reclaimed materials
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain EcoBuilding Bargains mission and products persuasively and close sales
Bilingual English/Spanish is desirable
Hard working and reliable. Able to motivate self, with a strong work ethic
Experience presenting a positive and professional impression while interacting with a diverse population |
