Requirements: General Requirements: Open mind, open heart. Positive outlook. Cooking nourishing lunches with organically grown foods for a group of about 15 people every weekday. Specific Requirements: Prepare and serve a hot soup plus a variety of vegetable, protein and grain dishes. Must be conversant with a wide array of dietary and allergen needs. Skill at pickling, sprouting and other methods desirable. Create weekly and monthly menus preferably in an Excel spreadsheet format. Developing recipes featuring our miso for website and social media is a possibility. Working within a budget, shopping weekly for ingredients needed for the lunches and recipe development. This is a year-round position. The hours of work are 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. There is a one hour lunch break. Other Tasks: Keep your own and adjacent areas clean and tidy. Compensation: Competitive wage offered along with a few benefits such as paid time off (after a successful 90 day trial period), daily natural foods lunches, moderate amounts of miso for personal use at no charge and a vegetable share from Natural Roots CSA.
