Pathlight is looking for an experienced Direct Support Professional to step into a DSP 4 position in Hampden County. This position parallels Supervisor and Assistant Manager Positions.

Summary of Position:

Perform a variety of direct care duties to support and instruct individuals with developmental disabilities with unusually complex behavioral needs. Implement behavior plans, programs, assessments and analysis of data ensuring a high degree of reliability between the written plan and the observed behavior of staff working with individuals. Provide supportive services to assist and train staff in implementing plans for working with individuals with developmental disorders.

Requirements:
Qualifications:

Minimum 18 years of age.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license. Reliable transportation, as required by program.
Have an acceptable driving record
Provide two professional references
Acceptable CORI
Thorough knowledge of a specialized field such as human services or general health care involving skills knowledge and the application of basic theory, equal to 2 years college.
Over 1 year of progressive learning experience.
Must be MAP Certified, First Aid Certified, and CPR Certified.
Knowledge and experience required:

Knowledge of Human Services field, direct care services, individuals with developmental disabilities, basic teaching instruction requiring some advanced skills knowledge.
Diversified duties involving an intensive knowledge of general health care and the use of a wide range of procedures. Requires the use of judgment in the lead and coordination of services for assigned program, and in the determination of the best actions to be taken within the limits of accepted practice.
Work with confidential data such as employee and client records which if disclosed, could have significant internal effect or minor external effect.
Advancement in DSP roles with demonstrated competencies through completion of division and agency trainings as determined by the division requirements and the needs of the program site.
