SENIOR MANAGER AT BEHAVIORAL HEALTH NETWORK, INC.

BHN is seeking a seasoned senior manager to oversee our Emergency Service and Supports Division and to join our leadership team. The ESS Division includes the region’s Psychiatric Crisis team, which provides more than 1200 crisis evaluations per month, as well as crisis stabilization and respite programs, and a wide array of collaborative programs with police and other first responders.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing behavioral health services that includes supervision and support of mid and upper-mid level managers, program development, budget and contract management, and creative, strategic thinking. Specific program management and leadership responsibilities are somewhat flexible and will be based upon the strengths and interests of the candidate.

BHN provides an extensive continuum of services including 11 outpatient clinics that are dually licensed for mental health and substance use treatment, a full array of child and family services, the region’s Emergency Services and Supports Programs, addictions services ranging from outpatient to residential and acute (detox) programs, forensic services and supports to all of the regions courts, and a large array of residential programs and supports to adults with I/DD and to individuals with mental illness.

Behavioral Health Network is a large and growing non-profit provider of community-based mental health, substance use disorder, and intellectual disability services. We employ close to 2500 individuals throughout Western Massachusetts, with an annual operating budget of about $115 million. While our service territory is the four counties of Western Massachusetts, BHN’s predominant presence is in the Pioneer Valley, with its corporate office located in Springfield, Ma.
Requirements:
The Senior Manager at BHN has the following qualities:

Master’s Degree in behavioral or public health or related field.
Experience managing behavioral health services (required).
Ability to think creatively and strategically.
Experience in urgent care and/or crisis services (preferred).
