Description:
Recovery House Relief Worker
Greenfield & Orange, MA
Variable hours

We’re looking for thoughtful, well-grounded people to work on an as-needed basis in our Recovery Houses for adults who are in the early stages of their recovery from substance use addiction.

As a Recovery House Relief Worker, you will:
• Work with others on the team and with residents of the house to support a safe, sober, cooperative living environment;
• Assist with daily activities, including providing a safe and secure environment, supporting residents with challenges they may be facing, and assisting with admissions;
• Contribute to house meetings; and
• Update records and prepare reports as needed.

You’re someone people naturally trust and turn to for help when they’re in a tough spot. Maybe you’ve worked in human services before, and maybe this is new for you—but you’ve got what it takes to pitch right in and make a positive contribution wherever you are. Comfortable using a computer for basic communication and record-keeping, you have a high school diploma or its equivalent, and any college courses in a related field would be an added plus; you also have a driver’s license.
This is a position where you could have plenty of room to grow if the fit is right and you want to do more. For starters, we’ll need you to be able to work a minimum of 16 hours a week, and to be flexible about the days and shifts you cover; sometimes, this will include covering from 11pm to 7am.
Compensation is $12/hour.
