Description:
AUTHORITY: This position reports to and is supervised by the Nutrition Program Director.

JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for all Home Delivered Meals delivered from the Westfield, MA site including recruitment, training and supervision of Home Delivered Meal Drivers, and arranging for substitute Drivers when necessary.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
a. High School Diploma or equivalent
b. Must pass requirement for CORI.
c. Must have own vehicle for site visits and be willing to travel within service area.
d. Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds and move it at least 100 feet.
e. Must be able to safely perform all job functions consistent with food service duties.
f. Must be able to use the phone to maintain contact with drivers, elders and agency personnel.
g. Must be able to write and fill out required forms.
h. Must have the ability to work both independently, as well as cooperatively with the elders in the community.
i. Must have the ability to market and recruit for this program within the community.
j. Must have computer skills and be comfortable with current office technology.
k. Must have food service knowledge and experience.
l. Good communication skills, both oral and written.
m. Strong interpersonal skills, including willingness to engage new and potential participants.
n. Must have own vehicle for site visits and be willing to travel within service area.
o. Willingness to substitute at other Community Dining Centers in the absence of the Site Coordinator.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
a. Responsible for the training and supervision of Home Delivered Meal Drivers, and arranging for substitute Drivers when necessary.
b. Take reservations, cancellations and place orders with Kitchen for Home Delivered Meals.
c. Coordinate with the elders the setup, supplies, portion control, sanitation and equipment in the Community Dining Room.
d. Monitor food delivery, including meal count and temperature readings from the central Kitchen.
e. Maintain daily attendance sheets, voluntary donations and monthly consolidation forms for Community and Home Delivered Meals.
f. Other tasks as specified in the Dining Center Operations Manual.
g. Provide agency and resource development via Nutrition Programming to foster elder/community participation in sponsorship activities that affect the local ownership of meal distribution.
h. Provide written and verbal presentations, information, invitations and guidance to community residents to foster civic engagement in the Home Delivered Meal Program.
i. Identify and support the development of Caring Community Build Partners towards the local ownership for Nutrition Programming.
j. Participate in training and development activities to keep up with knowledge/skills leading to a strong performance in this position.
k. Participate in required quality performance initiatives within program area.
l. Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor to meet agency needs.

d. Environmental Conditions – work is 75% indoor work; 25% outdoor (i.e. travel to attend meetings, events and trainings).

Physical Requirements
e. While performing duties of position, employee will be required to sit/stand for extended periods.
f. Working knowledge of computers, applicable software and databases and capacity to see computer screen and read written material.
g. Capacity to communicate verbally with staff, supervisors, consumers and community.
h. Capacity for the fine manipulation with use of office equipment.
i. Capacity for occasional reaching, lifting or bending.

Work Environment Expectations
a. Available to work an hourly position 25 hours/week, 9am to 2pm, Monday to Friday.
b. $13.60 per hour with benefits
c. Ability to drive own vehicle as the position requires.
