We are now hiring a full-time Production Team Supervisor. The successful candidate will work in our fast-paced, high-volume roasting facility and collaborate directly with the CEO and Operations team. The Coffee Production Team Supervisor is responsible for leading the production team and managing logistics for Dean’s Beans, including overseeing warehouse operations, inventory control, and regular equipment maintenance. The ideal candidate will be an exceptional communicator, solution-oriented and flexible, and excel at organizing complex processes. The Production Team Supervisor will constantly seek to improve the performance and efficiency of our coffee production operations.

The Production Team Supervisor will collaborate well with the office team and support the company’s growth.

Responsibilities

The Production Team Supervisor will be responsible for:
-Leading and managing the Dean’s Beans production staff while working alongside the
team on the production floor
-Quickly cultivating a full understanding of all areas of Coffee Production
-Providing supervision, feedback, and annual performance reviews for production team members
-Supporting the team with logistics and production operations as they manage shifting
daily order volume
-Overseeing warehouse operations and inventory control, and working with staff currently responsible for these tasks
-Managing quality control and improvements to production processes
-Training new production team members, as needed
-Fulfilling orders for wholesale and retail accounts
-Organizing and improving the production space and warehouse for better performance
-Ensuring regular equipment maintenance
-Ensuring a safe and welcoming workplace
-Maintaining good relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
-Scheduling and arranging the logistics needs for the production staff with excellent attention to detail
-Working with office staff, facility manager and sales manager on any overlap with Production team and schedule

Requirements:
Required Qualifications & Experience:
-Sound decision-making skills: calm, patient, with creative problem-solving approaches
-3-5 years of successful experience leading and supervising an effective team
-Exceptional work ethic; will ensure the job is completed to the best of their ability
-Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills: approachability, a good listener, clear communicator, even-tempered, confidence to share ideas and give timely feedback, and can do so in a positive, and constructive way.

-Ability to lift 60 pounds, work in heat and humidity, as well as cold temperatures (as the production floor temperatures fluctuate dramatically).

-Ability to track multiple aspects of production throughout the day and week, and still able to see the larger picture of production
