We are working with our client to fill this 1st shift opportunity offering $13.50/hr. This position will have you working 6am-2:30pm including mandatory overtime. This is a great opportunity for someone with a mechanical ability to get into a well established manufacturing company! Working as the Machine Operator, you will be responsible for the following tasks including, but not limited to: Plan and perform various machine operations on a variety of parts following standard methods and procedures. Set up and operate bench lathe, milling machine, drill press, engine lathe, etc. working close to tolerances. Locate work on machine and perform operations as necessary to ensure adequate finish allowance for proper machining and assembling. Determine proper operation sequence, select tools and insert and secure in machine. Select speeds and feeds according to type of material and finish requirements. Replace and sharpen dull tools. Maintain co-related dimensions between faces, holes, slots and for squareness, finish and parallelism.
