Description:
Reporting to the Director of Education, the Art Studio Coordinator collaborates with the Art Educator to facilitate high quality drop-in art programs, and generate online and social media content to engage audiences with the Museum. The Art Studio Coordinator supports the Art Educator in managing The Carleā€™s Art Studio space and materials, ensuring an organized, inspiring, safe, and welcoming space for all visitors. This position also provides support and supervision for Art Studio volunteers and work study students.
This temporary position is 26 hours per week from mid-April through the end of August: Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday full days. Tuesday part day. This schedule may include both on-site and remote work. The schedule may be subject to change but will include weekend coverage.

Requirements:
The Art Studio is a creative, accessible space that welcomes visitors of all ages; the ideal candidate for this position will be committed to engaging with patrons and should have experience working with children and the general public. Candidates must have experience working with materials in an art studio setting and be familiar with safe art studio practices. Candidates should be comfortable working on a computer, familiar with digital media (basic film, photography skills) and social media. Successful candidates will have an interest in Art Education and a commitment to engaging people of all ages and abilities in the creative exploration of materials.
