Description:
Kitchen Garden Farm is looking for an experienced tractor operator to join the Production Crew at our 50-acre certified organic vegetable farm in Sunderland, MA. We grow high-quality specialty vegetables for wholesale to stores and restaurants through the northeast region. We also produce award-winning sriracha, salsa, and other specialty food products from ingredients grown on the farm. Production crew does all the work relating to growing organic vegetables including planting, tillage, cultivation, seeding, irrigation, etc., as well as bulk harvesting. Position available April through Thanksgiving with the opportunity for year-round employment. We are looking for highly energetic, motivated and passionate individuals who want to do the work necessary to provide our community with high quality organic vegetables. Hours are generally 7am-5pm M-F and 8am-1pm every other Saturday, 40-50 hours per week. Part time schedules (4 days/week) are also available. Starting wage is $17/hour plus overtime > 40 hours/week, plus farm lunch every weekday and unlimited vegetables. Requirements:
Minimum one season vegetable farming and some tractor operation experience required. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and work outside in all weather with speed, endurance, and good cheer.
