Hiring immediately! Our client, a great local manufacturer in the Athol Area, is looking for a Machine Operator. We are working with our client to fill this 1st shift opportunity offering $15+/hr based on experience. This position will have you working Monday - Friday 6am-2:30pm including mandatory overtime. This is a great opportunity for someone with a mechanical ability to get into a well-established manufacturing company!

Working as the Machine Operator, you will be responsible for the following tasks including, but not limited to:

Plan and perform various machine operations on a variety of parts following standard methods and procedures.
Set up and operate bench lathe, milling machine, drill press, engine lathe, etc. working close to tolerances.
Locate work on machine and perform operations as necessary to ensure adequate finish allowance for proper machining and assembling.
Determine proper operation sequence, select tools and insert and secure in machine.
Select speeds and feeds according to type of material and finish requirements.
Replace and sharpen dull tools.
Maintain co-related dimensions between faces, holes, slots and for squareness, finish and parallelism.

Your Skills/Qualifications for the Machine Operator position:

Previous manufacturing experience
Good mechanical ability
Ability to be on your feet for the entire shift and lift up to 50 pounds
Good hand/eye coordination
Solid work history
