LGBTQIA+ Assistant Residential Manager

Job Summary 

The Assistant Program Manager is primarily responsible for managing the day-to-day youth experience of a residential program under the supervision of the Residential Program Manager. They are responsible for ensuring that staff is directly engaging the youth through creative daily activities and consistent structure/routine. They serve as a therapeutic agent to young children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral needs. They are also a key part of the program leadership and responsible for program operations in the program manager’s absence, including the maintenance of a trauma informed environment and other clinical or programmatic aspects of the program. 

 

Requirements:

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED with 2 to 3 years of professional supervisory experience in the childcare field. Associates degree is preferred. Experience working in residential programs required. 
  • Requires evening and weekend availability. 
  • Must be able to receive MAP (medical administration) certification within the first 6 months of employment. 
  • Trauma-Informed residential care experience and Building Communities of Care (BCC) model experience preferred.
  • Ability to participate with multi-disciplinary treatment team in implementing and carrying out individual treatment plans. 
  • Requires excellent written and verbal skills. 
  • Requires the ability to interpret and implement regulatory requirements. 
  • Ability to travel and/or transport safely to various locations is necessary.
