Red Fire Farm, a leader in organic farming with more than 100 acres in cultivation in the Pioneer Valley, is seeking experienced, responsible  Farmer’s Market staff for our Tuesday and Friday Summer Markets.

You will start the day at the farm in Montague and load up all the tasty produce to bring to market, drive the truck there, build a market display and sell and stock produce during the market hours. Then you bring remainders back home and do some reporting about how much sold and such. If you have good driving experience, we can train you to drive the box trucks back and forth.

This is a fast-paced job that comes with a lot of autonomy. It’s physically demanding but mentally rigorous as well: there will be lots of tiny details to keep in your head each day.

You need to flex a lot of muscle while loading and unloading. Must be able to lift 30-50 lbs repeatedly. You’ll work with warm, wonderful people on both sides of your drive and go home with all the veggies you can eat.

Market days are long and full of hard work, but these are coveted positions on the farm: the markets we work are a lot of fun, people love interacting with the public and bring back really useful feedback for the rest of the crew.

Some additional hours may be available delivery driving, or in other departments.

LOCATION: Position located at 184 Meadow Road in Montague, MA.
