For 50 years Clean Water Action has succeeded in winning some of the nation's most important environmental protections through grassroots organizing, expert policy research and political advocacy focused on holding elected officials accountable to the public. Candidates who possess a strong commitment to environmental, social, and political justice will be well suited for this role. Our staff consists of committed, professional highly skilled activists. Interns receive extensive training and continuing support on issue knowledge and campaign skills. All interns receive regular updates given by political or environmental authorities or from within our organization. We have a strong and early focus on career development that involves travel and management training opportunities. Our grassroots political organizers and interns speak to local citizens about state issues, informing and educating the public, building support and channeling that support into action. - Must be in commutable distance or relationships to the Northampton, MA Area. This is an in-person position.
- Shifts are Monday through Friday from 2pm to 9pm.
- Must be available 3 shifts a week minimum. You pick the 3 days M-F.
- Must show COVID vaccination documentation and wear a KN95 mask in the vehicle.
- Must be committed to the cause of diversity, equity, justice and inclusion.
- Desire for non-profit career development is a plus!
- Experience with canvassing, political organizing and successful negotiations is a big plus!
- Bilingual, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ and other underrepresented groups are strongly encouraged to apply.
