Registration Assistant Recreation Department FLSA – Non-Exempt Part-time, Non-Union – Level: 1
Job Summary: Performs entry level customer service duties in the Recreation Department. Receives registrations and performs clerical and administrative tasks, and related work.
Supervision Received: Works under the general supervision of the Program Director, who assigns tasks based on overall objectives and workload requirements, reviews work and evaluates performance.
Supervision Exercised: Generally none. The employee is responsible for their own work, but may occasionally provide guidance to volunteers.
Major Duties: • Performs customer service duties clerical and administrative tasks, including answering telephone(s), responding to general inquires, and assisting with front office operations. • Receives cash payments, and assists with accepting registrations. • Performs other related duties as assigned. |
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent AND any equivalent combination of education and experience or training demonstrating ability to perform above duties efficiently. • Proficient cash handling skills. • Excellent customer service skills. • Skill in operating multiple software applications and in data entry. • Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing). • Ability to handle stressful situations. • Ability to work professionally and cooperatively with the public and coworkers. • Ability to multitask, organize and prioritize workload.
Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual communications capabilities preferred.
