Description:

This position reports to and is supervised by the Executive Director This position will provide operational and governance support primarily to the Executive Director and the Board of Directors. The position will also provide supplemental support to the CFO and Assistant Directors as well as the Program Assistant duties as time allows.   

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operational Support: Is accountable for maintaining office/support functions as related to the work of the Executive Director and as designated by the ED. Work to include clerical work, projects requiring initiatives such as research and follow through, and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Executive Support: Written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills. Independent projects, from conception to completion, and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion. Serve as a point of contact for internal and external constituencies on all delegated matters pertaining to the Office of the Executive Director.
  • Board and Committee Governance Support: Maintains Board and Committee work flow through agenda, correspondence, minute keeping, scheduling, interrelating, and reporting activities. Maintains Board systems, tracking terms and corresponding documentation.
  • Other tasks as assigned by ED to meet agency needs.

Education: High School Diploma required, college education preferred

Experience:  Previous support role experience a plus, preferably in a non-profit organization • Experience and interest in internal and external communications, partnership development, and fundraising • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point).
