Employment Support Services Manager (Bilingual)

Interested in joining our team of dedicated professionals? Way Finders is currently seeking a full-time bilingual (English/Spanish) Employment Support Services (ESS) Manager. The ESS Manager furthers our mission through the successful administration and supervision of workforce development staff, by overseeing all program services, participant development, internal/external collaboration, and data analysis/reporting.

Wage starts between $59,500 and $67,000 per year depending on equivalent qualifications. Interested applicants must submit a resume and cover letter; applications will be accepted until the position is filled. CORI/MVR.

The candidate will work fully onsite.

Responsibilities include:
•    Coordinate and deliver workforce development services, including placement and retention, to program participants
•    Oversee the development of participants through employment plans that actively and empathetically identify strengths, address barriers, and maximize self-sufficiency; planning and facilitation of training and workshops; and the active, timely promotion of existing opportunities
•    Ensure that program staff develop sustainable employer relationships through training, mentoring, and regular follow-up
•    Plan and facilitate regular, productive team meetings
•    Process and submit monthly reporting and billing for services delivered
•    Ensure all database and participants records are entered and updated with accuracy in a timely manner; deliver reports as required
•    Perform audits to ensure all applicable rules, regulations, and standards are met; respond to requests for information from auditors, other departments, or funding sources in a timely manner
•    Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal staff and departments, employers, external providers, community groups, funding sources, and other workforce development-related departments or agencies
•    Provide technical guidance, training, and assistance to staff within and across departments on program guidelines, processes, resource availability, and in the resolution of complex matters
•    Proactively identify and inform the Director of any issues that may adversely affect the program, department, or organization
•    Remain current on workforce development trends and services to ensure maximum benefit to participants

Supervisory responsibilities include:
•    Ensure new employees are trained in accordance with training plans for new staff members and that existing employees are provided with refreshers and receive retraining when there are performance concerns; evaluate and make process improvements based on feedback
•    Evaluate and provide timely feedback to staff on performance-related matters; assess staff members’ strengths and developmental needs; implement performance plans to ensure the development and/or maintenance of necessary skills
•    Hire new/replacement staff in an efficient and equitable manner, following recruiting process guidelines
•    Those directly supervised include coordinators, job developers, specialists, and temporary workers

Requirements include:
•    5 years' progressively responsible experience in housing/social services, workforce development, or a related role; a combination of experience plus a Bachelor’s degree may be a substitute
•    1 year in a supervisory or lead position
•    Bilingual (Spanish/English) verbal and written skills required
•    Advanced ability with Microsoft Office applications, and comfort learning new technologies
•    Clear, effective, and timely communication skills across all levels of internal staff, clients, constituents, and stakeholders
•    Ability to organize and prioritize
•    Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record; reliable vehicle
•    CORI/MVR
