Company Description:Established in 2015, the Children’s Advocacy Center of Franklin County and North Quabbin (CAC) is an independent, nonprofit organization, that serves as the hub for responding to reports of child sexual abuse, serious physical abuse, and sexual exploitation. Further, the CAC provides a comprehensive array of evidence-based and trauma informed interventions to help children and families heal.
Accredited by the National Children’s Alliance, the CAC has worked with more than 900 children and families in Franklin County and the North Quabbin Region. CAC staff include advocates, mental health clinicians, and medical providers.

Description: | The Children’s Advocacy Center of Franklin County and North Quabbin CACFNQ) is an equal opportunity employer providing children and their families in need with healing and compassionate care to help them achieve their full potential and to unite the community in disrupting the cycle of abuse and exploitation. The Mental Health Clinician provides clinical mental health counseling and case management services to children affected by child abuse and other trauma. The Mental Health Clinician also coordinates with multidisciplinary teams to develop a holistic treatment plan for the individual. - Meet with children in person in Franklin County and the North Quabbin area.
- Provide direct services to children who have experienced child abuse and offer consultation with their families.
- Maintain complete, accurate, and timely records of patient visits and interactions.
- Consult and collaborate with other professionals that provide services to children and their families.
- Perform trauma-informed intake assessments.
- Provide on-site, short-term clinical support.
- Assist in referrals to ongoing, longer-term therapeutic services or other services based on the child’s and family's needs.
- Ensure provision of Evidence-based Therapy and Trauma-Informed Practices as part of program activities and maintains training and proficiency in these practices.
- Participate in Multi-disciplinary Team Meetings, training, and other required meetings.
- Collaborate with schools, families, and child-serving systems.
- Utilize outcome tools to determine patient progress.
- Coordinate patient care with primary care, other specialty providers, schools, and families.
- Ensure the protection of patient’s rights and that clients are provided with appropriate interventions based on their ability to participate, cultural concerns, and diagnostic impressions.
- Contributes to and supports the mission, vision, goals and objectives of the Children’s Advocacy Center of Franklin County and North Quabbin.

Requirements: | - Relevant Clinical Master's degree required (i.e., Counseling, Social Work, etc.).
- Must possess and maintain an independent professional license (e.g., LICSW, LMHC).
- Demonstrated experience working with children, adolescents, and families, including experience navigating children's systems and supports within the community.
- Experience with evidence-based treatment modalities such as TF-CBT, CBT, etc..
- Experience with the DSM V.
- Experience providing tele-health sessions as needed.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Strong communication, listening, and documentation skills.
- Proficiency with internet, Google Drive, word processing, and email systems.
