Deli Manager (Full-Time, Green Fields Market)

Supervise, train, schedule, and discipline cooking staff to ensure full coverage; manage department personnel, procedures and policies to ensure production and sale of full range of prepared foods, made-to-order sandwiches, and fresh salad bar; achieve department goals for sales, margin, and labor expense; maintain optimal customer satisfaction service standards; and provide leadership and vision.


Demonstrated experience working in deli, restaurant, catering or food service; successful track record in serving the public
Demonstrated track record in leadership role.
Knowledge of or demonstrated interest in natural foods and nutrition.
Familiarity with financial statements and a firm grasp of margin and pricing.
Ability to work independently and manage time productively.
Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand for long periods, handle multiple demands, work in close quarters and under pressure.
Manual dexterity with hazardous equipment.
Strong communication and leadership skills -- clear manager, good listener, strong team member.
