MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be 18 years of age or older
Demonstrated experience working with children in small groups
Ability to plan activities for and supervise groups of children.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills, including patience, an outgoing and enthusiastic personality, and a willingness to serve.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certifications in First Aid and CPR
- Some experience in recreational planning and supervision.
JOB ENVIRONMENT:
Work is generally performed in outside and indoor conditions; outdoor conditions require regular exposure to weather conditions; noise levels are moderate to loud. Operates computers, telephones, copiers, and other standard office equipment. Uses a variety of materials for instructing arts, crafts, music, nature, sports, games or other fields of instruction. Makes regular contacts with fellow counselors, campers, and the Camp directors where contacts involve an information exchange, providing direction, listening, clarifying, redirecting, and instruction. Has access to program-oriented confidential information. Performs related work as required.
