What does your day to day look like in this role?
At the Greenfield Center, we believe in empowering individuals to lead fulfilling and independent lives. As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will play a crucial role in providing person-centered support to help individuals enhance various skills such as leisure, social, safety, job readiness, and more. By fostering independence and choice, we aim to maximize the potential of each person we serve. Whether assisting with securing employment or volunteer opportunities, you will help individuals develop responsibility, pride, and community involvement. Assistance to clients for ADL's, personal care and transportation are duties of this role.
What you need to be successful?
To excel in the role of a Direct Support Professional at the Greenfield Center, you will need a blend of skills and qualifications. Experience in direct care, knowledge of human services, and previous exposure to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Proficiency in Behavioral Safety Care Training and being a Behavioral Health Specialist will be advantageous for this position.
Requirements:
- 18 years or older with High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license/acceptable driving record & reliable transportation
- 2 professional references
Payrate: $20.50/hr. to start.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm
