Family Support Advocate Responsibilities
Are you looking for rewarding work with adults and children with different abilities in the community? UCP, a growing human services agency, works with people with different abilities and their families throughout western Massachusetts in their homes and in the community. As a Family Support Advocate, you will work with individuals in Family Support programming and provide emotional support, guidance and resources to help individuals overcome challenges and achieve their goals. This includes assistance with social networking, recreational activities, community safety, health care issues, and physical and behavioral challenges. Some afternoon and evening hours are required.
Family Support Advocate Responsibilities
- Provide emotional support and guidance to families in need
- Assist families in accessing resources and services
- Advocate for families and children in the community
- Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations and service providers
- Provide education and training to families on a variety of topics, including parenting, communication, and conflict resolution
- Assist families in developing and achieving goals
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions with families
Family Support Advocate Benefits
